Late in 09, alongside artists Sarah Kirby, Gemma Wright and Sue Baker, I was commissioned by Rugby Art Gallery and Museum in association with Leicester Print Workshop to make a series of prints based on the museum’s social history collection. The resulting prints – lino cuts, screen prints, embossings and monoprints – made connections between my own family history and objects I had inherited and similar things in the collection. My intention was to draw attention to the common threads that link us all – infancy, work, leisure, death.
